MONKS IS MOVING

After four incredible years in our current location, our beloved venue will relocate to the St. Elmo Arts District in South Austin. Performances will begin there in 2026.

We are proud to be one of the first venues to utilize the City of Austin's new Performance Venue designation, allowing music spaces to operate in different parts of the city. We’re already breaking ground to build out our dream bar on the south side!

Officially receiving our Change of Use Permit from City Hall with our civil engineer, Max Martinez.

As in all things, we are hands-on in shaping the process and transition to our future home.

While we construct our first bar at 310 E. St Elmo Road, Unit A, Monks Jazz will be temporarily located in the neighboring unit on the corner of St. Elmo & Willow Springs. There, we will continue our current BYOB listening room model until renovation is complete (Grand Opening TBA).

We are overwhelmed with appreciation for our wonderful community and sincerely thank you for your support and ears. You have brought us this far and we are excited to continue to grow with you!
