Taking inspiration from luminaries such as Kurt Elling, Christian Wiggs is a vocalist, bandleader, lyricist, producer, director, artist manager, educator, and founder of Bandstand Presents.

Christian has shared the stage with acclaimed musicians such as Benny Benack III, Martina DaSilva, Bryan Carter, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Steven Feifke, Aubrey Logan, Alexa Tarantino, Bijon Watson, Danny Jonokuchi and George Fludas. In addition to collaboration, Christian serves as artist management for Tony Award-winning drummer/orchestrator Bryan Carter and saxophonist Chad LB.

Wiggs has released three studio albums and serves as the host and producer of “Off The Bandstand” and has produced records for GRAMMY Award-winner Steven Feifke, Benny Benack and Kate Kortum. Off stage, Christian serves as an active producer and director, his work behind the camera being featured by Playbill, ABC News, NPR Live Sessions, and WRTI 90.1.

Danny Jonokuchi is a multi-talented jazz artist based in New York City and Los Angeles. As a jazz trumpeter, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator, few artists are as diversely involved in their craft.

Composing and arranging have always been Danny’s passion and his “well-crafted arrangements” (Jazz Weekly) have been performed by an incredible array of artists including Lady Gaga, Catherine Russell, Grammy-nominated vocalist Nicole Zuraitis, Hannah Gill, The Duke Ellington Legacy, The Budapest Scoring Orchestra, The Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Terell Stafford Quintet, Brian Newman, Charles Turner & Uptown Swing, The Christian Wiggs Big Band, The Ulysses Owens Jr. Big Band, The Birdland Big Band, The South Philly Big Band, Svetlana, & Peter Bernstein.

Danny contributed to two GRAMMY award-winning projects with The Generation Gap Jazz Orchestra and the 8-Bit Big Band, and has performed on Broadway stages, dozens of studio albums, subbed with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and can be heard trumpeting on the acclaimed game Red Dead Redemption 2. His playing has also been featured on PBS, NPR, HBO, and Good Morning America.

Evolving from a single quarantine project (“Off The Bandstand”), Bandstand Presents is an Austin-based production company, record label and artist agency. Founded by vocalist, bandleader, lyricist and producer, Christian Wiggs, and producer Kirk Word, Bandstand is committed to the inclusivity, visibility, and collaboration of jazz scenes across the nation. In just two years, Bandstand has established a national presence - their work being featured through NBC, ABC World News Now, NPR Live Sessions, Playbill, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway World, SXSW, JAZZIZ, Queerty, Pride.com, and Sirius XM. In Fall of 2021, Bandstand began producing its residency series featuring guest artists including Bryan Carter, Martina DaSilva, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Benny Benack III, Steven Feifke, Aubrey Logan, Dan “Chimy” Chmielinski, Mathis Picard, Daniel Foose, Clark Sommers and George Fludas. As educational and musical investment are paramount, Bandstand Presents has facilitated partnerships with developmental institutions such as University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, New School of Music Austin and the Women in Jazz Association.
